Profile
I am a PhD student at ICMAT, where I carry out my doctoral research under the supervision of David Rios. My academic background brings together mathematics, physics, and statistics, following double bachelor's degrees in Mathematics and Physics at the University of Valladolid and a Master's in Statistics for Data Science at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.
My work moves across Bayesian statistics, probabilistic modelling, preference learning, and data-driven decision-making, with a particular interest in research that combines rigorous methodology with meaningful real-world applications. I am especially drawn to problems where mathematical structure, statistical reasoning, and computation come together naturally.
Mathematics has interested me since childhood, and that early curiosity gradually grew into a wider fascination with science, modelling, and uncertainty. Alongside research, I genuinely enjoy teaching and explaining ideas clearly.
I am currently supported by an FPU24 doctoral fellowship. This funding supports my ongoing PhD work at ICMAT.
Developing machine learning models that explicitly represent uncertainty, improve robustness, and support more reliable decision-making in complex settings.
Building principled statistical models that combine prior information, uncertainty quantification, and coherent inference for real-world data.
Exploring robust sequential decision-making, especially through probabilistic state-space models and Bayesian approaches to control and learning.
Investigating how learning systems behave under adversarial perturbations, with an emphasis on robustness, reliability, and secure model design.
